Equipment
Performance:
Air Enterprises had just completed another phase for this repeat
user of Air Enterprises equipment in their West coast US facility.
The decision to award the air handling units to Air Enterprises
for an expansion in the Puerto Rico facility was made with confidence.
Air Enterprises' all aluminum housing which interlocks with connecting
aluminum extrusions was critical to address the high static pressures
involved.
Units were guaranteed to maintain 1/2% leakage at design static
pressures. Housing integrity, deflection and leakage were also critical
to maintain the seal at the 99.97% efficient HEPA filters. All HEPA
banks were field DOP challenged and scanned for submicron particle
integrity.
Unit components consisted of Class II and Class III DWDI fans with
inlet vanes & stainless steel inlet screens, TEFC high efficiency
motors with auto tensioning belt drive bases, dampers, 30%/95%/HEPA
filtration, chilled water coils with stainless steel, sloped drain
pans, and reheat coils. Factory-provided electrical features included
a fluorescent lighting system and fan motor disconnects wired within
all-aluminum conduit.
Complete factory testing services consisted of casing leakage,
electrical integrity, unit air flow, and a sound analysis. Complete
field supervision, start-up and owner orientation services were
included.
