Food/Beverage Facility
Location: Houston, TX
Specified Performance:
(1) 1,100 CFM unit @ 4" TSP
Project Features:
~ One-source responsibility
~ Energy recovery
Equipment Performance:
The repeat beverage client had employed this rotary heat/energy
recovery design in the past. Due to desired conditions within the
area being served and the amount of air changes demanded, energy
recovery to minimize energy consumption was an important design
issue. By running the exhaust air and the supply air streams through
a rotary energy recovery wheel, both latent and sensible energy
recovery occurred offering a recovery efficiency of nearly 85%.
Air Enterprises offered one-source equipment and service responsibility.
Internal components consisted of fans, the energy recovery wheel
and basic filtration. An internal lighting system was factory provided.
Air Enterprises supplied integral controls, photohelic filter monitoring,
air flow measuring devices, and energy recovery wheel controls.
All items were encased within Air Enterprises' double wall all-aluminum
housing with all penetrations to the unit exterior being made and
carefully sealed at the factory. When the equipment arrived on site,
the client simply "plugged-in" the appropriate utility
and the unit was ready to run.
Air Enterprises completed our one-source responsibilities by providing
field start-up and owner equipment training services.
